Bashundhara Toiletries has supported a ‘sales carnival’ programme by the Marketing Department of Dhaka University to share practical knowledge among the students.
DU Treasurer Jahangir Alam Chowdhury inaugurated the two-day carnival on Wednesday to mark the golden jubilee of the department.
Carnival Convener Prof Shehely Parvin and Bashundhara Paper Assistant Managing Director Mohammad Karimul Arafat were also present on the occasion.
Bashundhara Toiletries is a partner in the carnival, while the ‘Monalisa Sanitary Napkin’ brand is also involved in the campaign.
Students of the DU Marketing Department act as salespeople at the carnival, showcasing cosmetics, handicrafts, colourful clothes, essential women’s products, books, tissues, and other essential items.
The event resembles a festive fair, with various products put on display at different stalls and people buying and selling.
The carnival convener expressed her gratitude to Bashundhara Group for being a partner in such an initiative.
Shoppers were excited that they could purchase various products at reduced and affordable prices during the fair.
Those involved believe that such an initiative will be of great help in enhancing the practical skills of students, the organisers said.
